Collection: Tyrosine
Tyrosine (Tyr) glycosylation is a post-translational modification of proteins. Examples of O-linked glycosylation on tyrosine, rather than on serine or threonine residues, include the addition of glucose to tyrosine in glycogenin and tyrosine O-linked glycosylation on Aβ1-X glycopeptides identified in human cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) samples where the incidence was higher in Alzheimer's disease (AD) patients than in non-AD patients.
